Ministry Teams
God has blessed each person with certain gifts, talents, and passions. At the UCSC, we want every student to feel as though they are a part of this ministry. Ministry teams help students discover their gifts and develop a passion for ministry. We have created the following ministry teams in order to jump start your involvement in the kingdom of God. Through this training, you will gain practical experience in organizing the ministries of the church. These teams are a great way to be involved and help others get involved
Service
God tells us to put others above ourselves, and to serve others. This ministry team is a group of students who organizes service projects to be carried out by the entire UCSC. This team loves to serve others, and is also gifted in other ways such as preparing projects behind the scenes, and just supporting the work. This team has organized projects such as raking leaves, babysitting, yard work, Habitat for Humanity work day, a Christmas party for needy children, and a Mexico Tool Drive. The service ministry team motivates and encourages the UCSC to get involved in service to others.
Campus Outreach
The campus outreach ministry team is focused on reaching out to Tech's campus. They help with prayer party and the prayer party cookout as well as the UNITE program which brings together all the campus ministries at TTU. This ministry team also helps the UCSC stay connected with other Christians on campus by participating in the Christian Faith Council which is dedicated to promoting unity among all Christian ministry organizations.
Fellowship
Parties are always a highlight at the UCSC. Everyone needs a break from busy schedules and studying. This ministry team focuses on organizing events such as Christmas and Halloween parties, finals parties, finals week fellowship, end of the year parent's night, and other special events seeing to it that we get together and have a lot of fun!
Spiritual
This team uses its gifts to build others up! Your spiritual life, school, work, and relationships among other things can at times drain you leaving you discouraged and feeling down. Sometimes, we all just need to know that someone else is thinking about or praying for us. Whether by phone call, card, or visit, this team tries to provide ways for everyone in the UCSC to encourage others weekly.
